Hub e Masterplan Conca d’Oro – Torbole sul Garda

Torbole sul Garda, Italy

For the redevelopment of the Conca D’Oro area in the municipality of Nago Torbole (Trento), the insertion of a new architectural organism is proposed. The context in which it is located is predominantly natural. The building fits into the context by adapting to the morphology of the landscape, a line on the horizon that declares its presence from a few elements that mark the horizontality of the new HUB. The planimetric composition was studied to be able to recognize an immediate organization and orientation between the different areas requested by the tender.
With the exception of the storage area that is located in a detached building, the remaining macro areas are distributed around a courtyard overlooked by the connective system that assumes the function of a hinge and of situating moments of meeting and exchange between the users of the environments.
Furthermore, the volume of the building defines a sequence of external spaces linked together to form a rich variety of areas and moments. The enhancement of the external area includes the design of a new pavement and a new project of natural elements including the planting of new trees which, together with the shape of the building, will underline the character of one area compared to another.
